Merging Multiple Photographs
How do you take a posed picture with 5 toddlers? Answer is - you don’t. Sometimes the only way to get that perfect picture is through creative photo manipulation.
Step 1: Take lots & lots of digital pictures! Out of 50 pictures, we finally got all 4 girls to smile together, but my son was playing with his belly (such a boy!). We only got him to smile in one picture, unfortunately from a different perspective & lighting.
Step 2: Merge Multiple Photographs. After creating a cut-out of the girls and a separate one of the boy, the photos were merged. The boy was inserted behind the girls to create a more natural pose. He was also adjusted for sharpness & brightness to match the girls. The original background was cleaned up and the newly created group pose re-inserted.
